MSU Employee Perks

Employment at Minot State University includes opportunities to enjoy a number of employee perks. We hope this list will introduce many events and facilities that MSU employees can utilize while employed here. Enjoy!

Athletics
MSU employees plus one family member are admitted to regular season MSU home sporting events for free by simply showing their MSU ID cards at the door. Some exclusions will apply including playoff and tournament events.

Barnes & Noble Bookstore at Minot State
Minot State staff members receive a 20 percent discount at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore at Minot State. Some restrictions apply. Contact the bookstore for more details.

Communication Disorders Clinic
MSU employees and their dependents may utilize the services of the Communication Disorders Clinic at no charge. Services include evaluation and treatment of speech, fluency, language, voice, swallowing and hearing. The clinic is located on the first floor of Memorial Hall, Room 109. Contact the Communication Disorders Clinic at 858-3030 for more information.

Council of State Employees
The Council of State Employees' mission is to enhance the morale and public image of state employees through the recognition of their personal, civic and work contributions. At the COSE website ( www.state.nd.us/cose), MSU employees can access lists of discounts available to state employees and order COSE apparel.

Delta Airlines
North Dakota University System employees receive a discount on airfare through Delta Airlines. See the North Dakota State University System LINK for more details.

Information Technology Central
SPSS is available for installation on personal computers, and individuals can make arrangements with the help desk to bring in a laptop or desktop PC for installation. Microsoft Office 365 is also available to Students, Faculty, and Staff (adjunct and emeritus are limited to email). Contact the ITC help desk at 858-4444 if there additional questions or help is needed.

Minot State Dome
MSU employees and the general public are invited to utilize the Minot State Dome's third floor walking/running surface Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Class schedules and MSU Athletic events may affect availability.

Minot State University Student Wellness Center
All full and part-time faculty and staff are eligible to purchase a membership at Minot State University Student Wellness Center. Memberships include access to all amenities, which includes exercise equipment, weight rooms, open gym space, group exercise classes, rock climbing, locker rooms, and wellness events.

Music
The MSU Division of Performing Arts presents several recitals and concerts throughout the year which are free to the public. Staff, faculty and students are admitted to the Minot Symphony Orchestra concerts with a current MSU ID. Other events such as the Western Plains Opera, Chamber Chorale and International Artists Series are not MSU events and are not included in the free events. Olson Library
MSU employees may obtain a library card by bringing their MSU ID to the library for activation. MSU staff and faculty are allowed extended checkout periods and may access interlibrary loan services. Contact the library at 858-3200 with any questions.

Design and Print Services
There are many services available from designing forms, invitations, cards, etc. to printing a finished project. This department is located in the lower level of Pioneer Hall. Contact them for more information.

Student Health Center
The Student Health and Development Center offers blood-pressure checks, immunizations and the opportunity to participate in the Healthy Lifestyle Program to MSU employees. Contact SHC at 858-3371 for questions or appointments. Covered NDPERS employees can accrue points by participating in workplace events and other various activities. These points can be redeemed for up to $250 per year. Please see Employee Wellness for more information. 

Theater
The MSU Theater Program produces a number of dramatic productions including the popular MSU Summer Theatre series. MSU employees and dependents are admitted to these events for free with MSU ID. Black Box and Campus Player productions are not included. MSU Summer Theatre discount is $5. Contact 858-3172 with questions or the Summer Theatre Reservation number of 858-3228 to reserve summer theater seats.
