Exams Offered at the Academic Testing Center

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) offers certification for automotive professionals. Registration is done through the ASE web site. You will need to bring your ASE eligibility number on the day of your test. Information is available on what to expect on the day of the test. Practice tests are available for purchase on ASE’s website.

 

CLEP is a widely accepted credit-by-exam program offering 33 computer-based tests across five subject areas. Passing an exam may earn you up to 12 credits, depending on your institution's policy.

Steps to take a CLEP exam

DSST is a credit-by-examination program offering 39 different exams. MSU is able to except a limited number of exams for credit. See the Minot State DSST Policy for equivalent course and credits obtained for each exam.

Iso-Quality Testing provides computer based testing for certification and professional licensure exams.  Minot State is an Iso-Quality test center with the ability to proctor exams for over 70 different companies and organizations. Kryterion provides computer based testing for certification and professional licensure exams. For questions on taking an exam or to register, please use the URL provided by your test sponsor. Meazure provides computer‑based certification and licensure exams for 80+ organizations. Visit the Meazure website to see all testing programs and register through your organization’s listing.

Pearson Vue provides licensure, certification, and education testing across all major industries. Minot State is a Pearson Vue test center with the ability to proctor exams for over 450 different companies and organizations. For questions or to register, please visit Pearson Vue’s web site. The Praxis Series exams are taken by individuals entering the teaching profession as part of the certification process required by many states and professional licensing organizations. Praxis Series Exams are offered on Tuesday morning and Wednesday afternoon. Registration must be completed through Praxis. There is test preparation materials available through the Praxis web site.

PSI offers a variety of services for Real Estate, Construction, Barber, Cosmetology, and other professional license and certifications. Please visit PSI’s web site for a complete listing of exams as well as information on specific exams. Exams are scheduled directly through the PSI web site or by calling 1-800-733-9267.

Talogy True Talent is a leading provider of web-delivered, high-stakes testing and assessment solutions for major government and corporate clients, specializing in pre-employment selection, promotional, personality, and skills assessments.  Minot State is a Talogy test center with the ability to proctor over 100 different assessments. The TOEFL test measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. It also evaluates how well you combine your listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills to perform academic tests. The TOEFL is offered one Friday a month. Registration is done through the TOEFL web site. The TOEFL web site also has test preparation materials.
