Audit University Courses Tuition Free!
MSU wants to help seniors connect with campus for the joy of learning! Take advantage of MSU's tuition waiver program to
study new topics, interact with students of all ages, and share your experience.
A tuition waiver is available for people age 65 and over to audit courses. Students pay a one-time $35 application fee and any course-specific/lab fees. This tuition waiver is applicable to on-campus courses only and is available when space permits in the classroom. Some courses have pre-requisites which may need to be met before enrolling. An auditor may participate in class activities at the discretion of the instructor. No credit is awarded for an audited course and an auditor may not later establish credit in that course.
To enroll in a course, the following items must be completed at least 10 days prior to the semester's start:
- Completed non-degree online admission application form
- Non-refundable; one-time $35 application form
- Request for Course Audit Form [pdf]
- Bring proof of eligibility to the Center for Extended Learning (Driver license, passport, etc.)
- Submit a signed Financial Obligation Agreement
- If you have taken a semester or more off from taking classes, please complete an application for readmission.
- Request for Course Audit Form
- Submit a Financial Obligation Agreement
Contacting instructors and enrollment in the course will be completed by CEL. Students will be notified if they have been approved to audit the course.
