Northwest Arts Center
First Rate Customer Service
The team at Northwest Arts Center put on a lovely evening of socializing and a Silent Auction of art from local artists which was a great success! They worked really hard. What a great way to get people in to the beautiful art center on our very own campus.

Each year Staff Senate and volunteers put together a wonderful MSU community-building event known as the Fall Kick-Off. This group sets the bar for showing school spirit and service to the rest of campus. Thanks for your hard work, leadership and example to the rest of us!

I appreciate that MSU Security handles issues on campus by showing everyone involved respect. I noticed a very positive interaction today between security and someone from off-campus. I appreciate that Campus Security leads with de-escalation, respect, and kindness.

Individually, this whole department deserves a high five and collectively they make this campus a beautiful well maintained part of the Minot community. A major shoutout to the Registrar's Office for their work on commencement. In a hard year, they pulled off a well put together ceremony to honor our graduates. They recruited volunteers and planned for appropriate distancing. They had things lined out for the volunteers and well put together so things would run smoothly. It was clearly well though out. Job well done for our students and the MSU community! THANK YOU!

The IT department has been working very hard to update and accommodate for Covid-19. Last summer they put in lots of extra time. Not only setting up classrooms but helping staff members get web cameras and other supplies they needed during this time when we are attending things virtually.

Student Health

Student Health has had quite a bit of turnover this year, not to mention the difficulties that come with Covid-19. The new staff members have jumped right in and embraced their new roles while keeping our campus and students safe.

Amanda Francis and Roxi Mathis were total rockstars in the research, design and implementation of our new 2021 recruiting and marketing design concepts. These ladies are very talented, hard working, and dedicated to the advancement of Minot State in so many ways. Thanks to this small, yet powerful team, a new design concept came together (and was overwhelmingly accepted in just one presentation) without compromising any of our day to day projects that keep us all so busy. I'm very proud to have them both on my team.

The Financial Aid department is quick to respond to inquires and they work to keep open lines of communication between departments. They strive to find information quickly and get all the necessary details as well. They provide up-to-date information for students or those of us working to help students. Their hard work and great attitudes are so appreciated!

I work closely with this team and they are doing a great job recruiting and showcasing our beautiful campus. Every single person on this team deserves recognition for the hard work and dedication to increasing enrollment at MSU. In the Native cultures, we use the Seven Grandfather Teachings, similar to Character Counts. The teaching of wisdom is taught to us by the beaver. Beavers use their teeth to cut trees and build dams; in doing this they have a positive impact on their community (the nature around them), their family (who live in the dam), and themselves (by finding purpose and health in doing what they are meant to do). The beaver reminds us that we all have gifts and a purpose in this world. It is through the love of knowledge that we find wisdom. Enrollment Services represents our mascot well. Miigwech
