Community Resources

Men’s Winter Refuge:

The Men’s Winter Refuge is a local homeless shelter for Minot area men. The refuge also provides transportation services, clothing, and a ride to a food pantry every Wednesday.

Domestic Violence Crisis Center:

The Domestic Violence Crisis Center works to serve victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. This organization provides crisis intervention, emergency shelter, support groups, counseling, and other services.

Minot Area Partnership:

The Minot Area Partnership Services formerly Minot Homeless Coalition aims to create and optimize services for the homeless. This organization provides services such as rent, transportation, and medication assistance, as well as emergency food and shelter.

Ward County Social Services:

Ward County Social Services provides social service, economic assistance, and programs as directed by public policy. Services include case management, transportation, basic care assessments, and others.

Community Action:

Community Action is an organization with the intent to develop programs and provide services for those with low income or disadvantaged households. Community Action also provides contact information for a wide range of other local resources.

Salvation Army:

The Salvation Army provides a range of programs and services. These include clothing vouchers, transportation assistance, rent and utility assistance, a food pantry, and others.

Minot Housing Authority:

Minot Housing Authority provides affordable housing for low-income families and individuals with disabilities. The website provides links to apply for housing vouchers.

Pathfinder Services Broadway Circle:

Pathfinder Services Broadway Circle provides temporary housing to help families in crisis avoid separation.

Independence, Inc.: 

Independence, Inc. provides resources, independent living skill training nursing home and community transition services as well as learning about systems and individual advocacy to people with disabilities.

Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports:

Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports provides sporting and recreational activities for children and adults with disabilities.

North Dakota Association for the Disabled (NDAD):

NDAD is a nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance, equipment for loan, accessible van loans, and other disability services.

Our Lady of Grace Food Pantry:

Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Food Pantry is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

The Lord’s Cupboard Food Pantry:

The Lord’s Cupboard Food Pantry is located in Minot and provides food and meals from donations and their community garden.

Northland Health Centers:

Northland Health Centers is a non-profit healthcare center with the mission of providing affordable healthcare. Their Minot location provides dental, medical, and behavioral health services for individuals regardless of their financial status.

Rehab Services, Inc. (RSI):

Rehab Services, Inc. provides a range of programs to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. RSI provides scholarships, as well as housing, employment assistance, addiction, and other programs.

North Dakota Job Services:

North Dakota Job Service provides resources and contact information for job opportunities, as well as unemployment services.

Come AlongSide Others (CASO):

CASO supports victims of childhood abuse and neglect by providing support to foster families through the foster care closet.
