Youth Audition Information

So you’d like to try theatre? Keep in mind that theatre is team based. You will likely be expected to attend every rehearsal and performance.

Rehearsals run most evenings from 6-10 or 7-11 with a few weekends from 1-4 as well. More than one absence can result in being replaced in the show.

Doctor Dolittle
Rehearsals run May 27-June 22
Performances June 23-26, & June 28-July 1

Elf the Musical
Rehearsals run July 1-23
Performances July 24-28, & July 30-August 1

Record and submit your audition video in 4 simple steps!

  1. Practice
    All are required to sing Sparklejollytwinklejingley from Elf the Musical and perform a scene from Doctor Dolittle. Practice until you feel comfortable!
  2. Record
    Watch this video to help you make your best recording! Use the Parent Tips document to help your actor submit their best audition.
      
  3. Submit
    Fill out this Google Form to send in your video as soon as you feel confident in your work.
      
  4. Wait
    Cast lists will be released as close to March 24 as possible. Keep an eye on your provided email as well as the MSU Summer Theatre Facebook Page!
