Minot State programs eligible for Twice Blessed donation match

MINOT, N.D. – Today through the end of December, individuals can double their impact toward several Minot State programs through the St. Joseph’s Community Health Foundation Twice Blessed giving program.

The foundation is providing seven scholarships to Minot State University: five to nursing, one to communication sciences and disorders, and one to social work. A match is also available for the Minot State Summer Theatre revitalization project HERE.

“We are incredibly grateful for this scholarship opportunity,” said April Warren, Department of Nursing chair. “This opportunity makes such a significant difference by making nursing education more possible for our future nurses. We wish to extend our tremendous appreciation to the St. Joseph’s Community Health Foundation Twice Blessed giving program for their generous support.”

Donations to nursing can be made HERE.

“All donations, big and small, make a difference,” said Mary Huston, communication sciences and disorders interim chair and assistant professor. “With your help, aspiring speech-language pathology students will receive the skills needed to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and prevent the presence of communication disorders and make a difference in the lives of all of their clients. Will you help us make a difference?”

Donations to communication sciences and disorders can be made at this LOCATION.

“The St. Joseph’s Community Health Foundation Twice Blessed giving program provides an essential scholarship to social work students who come from or plan to work in 11 North Dakota counties considered to be rural in population,” said Nancy Gordon, social work program director. “Rural counties struggle to fill social work positions and Minot State University is the closest social work program to these counties. The scholarship is a critical incentive for recruiting rural social workers.”

Donations can be made HERE for the social work scholarship.
