Minot State to host Transfer-mation, Red & Green Day for prospective students

MINOT, N.D. – Minot State University Enrollment Services will host two open house events for two different prospective student bases on Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9. Spring Transfer-mation, an event specifically designed for transfer students, will take place Friday, Feb. 8 both on campus and via video chat. Red & Green Day, an event for freshman students, will occur on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Transfer students often have specific questions about transferring credits, paying for college, and academic programs. Transfer-mation allows attendees to build the event to meet their needs, including campus tours, lunch, and appointments with admissions and faculty.

“This year for Transfer-mation, we are offering a new virtual option for transfer students that cannot make it to campus,” said Kyle Patterson, Minot State admissions counselor. “In person or virtually, students will be able to speak with an admissions counselor about applying, receive an unofficial transcript review to see which courses will transfer to Minot State, and talk in depth with a professor in their field of study. This is a great event for students looking to transfer to Minot State and earn their bachelor’s degree.”

Red & Green Day allows prospective students the flexibility to plan their morning as fits them best. Individuals can attend the resource fair with financial aid, student life, and more; visit with admissions counselors; take a guided campus tour; and attend sessions about specific majors.

“The open house is a good chance to sit down with the department head or the expert in your interested program to hear from them what the program has to offer from the most knowledgeable people. Students will be able to do so with our half hour overview sessions of specific majors and programs at Minot State,” said Erin Winterton, student ambassador for Minot State.
