Community singers invited to join in 'Messiah' performance

The Heritage Singers, Voices of Note and the Minot State University choirs invite Minot area community singers to join in the performance of Minot’s annual “Messiah.”  Each year the three sponsoring choirs present the Christmas portion of Handel’s famous oratorio, “Messiah.” The invitation is also extended to high school students from the region.

Rehearsals are scheduled for Nov. 23 and Nov. 30 at 4 p.m. The dress rehearsal is Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. with the performance on Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. Rehearsals and the performance are at Anne Nicole Nelson Hall on the Minot State University campus. Each rehearsal will last for approximately 1½ hours. Seating is limited this year and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Those participating must attend at least two rehearsals. Scores will be provided for high school students who participant, or participants may bring their own. Interested individuals should plan to attend the first rehearsal or contact Ken Bowles, Division of Music chair, at 858-3185.
