- Two-dimensional and three-dimensional art and craft in any medium, traditional or experimental, qualify.
- All artworks must be original, finished and ready to exhibit. It is preferred that two-dimensional work be framed and protected by clear acrylic glazing, unless alternative display is integral to the work.
- Prior approval must be given if AI imagery or AI elements are used in the creation of an artwork in any capacity. Such usage must be detailed in the artwork medium.
- Once accepted, work may not be removed during the show for any reason.
- If you have questions about the eligibility of a work, please contact the NAC.
HOW TO SUBMIT ARTWORK
- Entries will be accepted May 15 through June 30, 5 p.m. at the Northwest Arts Center located on the lower level of the Gordon B. Olson Library. Attach printed entry label to the work in accordance with Entry Form Guidelines. Artwork with incomplete entry form or artwork labels will not be accepted. Limit 5 entries per person.
- If it will clarify the artwork, you may provide a brief paragraph explaining the artwork or concept for use in exhibition materials.
- Handling and/or assembly instructions must be included for delicate and fragile artworks, including works for a series, or artworks requiring on-site assembly.
- For installation and large sculpture, it is suggested that work be set up and photographed or diagrammed for the gallery. The artist will be responsible for assisting with installation and removal of large work.
- Artworks with multiple components must have each part clearly identified (if possible) with an attached copy of the entry label.
- Entries must be presented in a manner suitable for display. Artworks that are, or seem to be, physically unsafe, or otherwise unsuitable for handling (poorly constructed, poorly framed, without properly attached wire and hanging hardware meeting museum/gallery standards, or environmentally hazardous), will not be accepted.
- The NAC will provide guidance or instruction on suitable hanging and display methods on request.
- The NAC will have final installation approval rights. Entries not displayed in the exhibition must be picked up from the NAC by July 24, 2025. Artwork displayed in the exhibition will be available for pickup after the closing reception and must be picked up by August 29, 2025.
