The Minot State University & Oslo Chamber Choir Apprenticeship Program
Minot State University is delighted to announce the Minot State University & Oslo Chamber Choir Apprenticeship Program. One Minot State University choral scholar will be selected to participate in this residency with travel expenses paid, to Oslo, Norway to assist the Oslo Chamber Choir two weeks prior to their June 2024 concert.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Has been enrolled at MSU for at least one academic year.
- Has been enrolled in Concert Choir (MUSC 120) for at least two consecutive semesters.
- Clean disciplinary record
Audition Requirements: Due January 31, 2024
- Recorded performance of an aria/art song in any language other than English (Youtube link)
- Two recommendations from a professor or advisor (pdf uploaded)
- Essay answering these two questions: (pdf uploaded)
- Why are you the best candidate to apprentice with the Oslo Chamber Choir
- If selected, how will you use this experience to enrich the lives of others?
Funds:
- Roundtrip ticket from Minot to Oslo provided at NO cost to student.
- Lodging with an Oslo Chamber Choir host family provided at NO cost to student.
- Health insurance paid by student (brochure/prices attached)
- Meals paid by student.
