Larson Leadership Scholars

Thanks to a generous grant from the Edson and Margaret Larson Foundation, Minot State University is happy to offer the Larson Leadership Scholars program.  Selected first-year students will receive a $2500 scholarship, live together in the Leadership Living-Learning Community in Lura Manor, complete LEAD 101 Introduction to Leadership, and have a chance to participate in other leadership development activities such as speakers, workshops, service projects, experiential activities, and more.

Students interested in the Larson Leadership Scholars need to apply through the Minot State general scholarship application. Deadline for the general scholarship application is Feb. 15.

"The Larson Leadership Scholarship provided me with many new opportunities. Coming from a very small school, it was hard to get involved and meet new people. There were opportunities for all of us who had different personalities but had at least one thing in common, which was all of us being leaders. By the second semester, this program helped me so much that I had no problem stepping out of my comfort zone as a leader. The Larson Leadership Scholarship Program is an opportunity that opens so many doors for college students who are leaders."
