Jessica Smestad has served as the Director of the Honors Program since summer 2016. Previously, she had been employed at MSU for six years in the Center for Engaged Teaching & Learning as the Peer Mentoring & Peer Tutoring Coordinator. A Minot, ND native, she has also lived and worked in Connecticut and New Hampshire. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND, and her Master of Arts degree in Education from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT. Jessica loves to teach courses about literature, leadership, public speaking, and community problem-solving.
