I obtained my BSN in 1995 and started my career at Mayo Medical Center in Rochester, MN where I worked in acute care and ambulatory care. I then moved back to Minot and worked clinical care, PACU and in the chronic pain clinic. I was interested in education because nurses provide a wealth of teaching to patients, new graduate nurses and nursing students daily. I wanted to share my experience and knowledge to the students. I am passionate about my profession and cannot imagine any other profession that would provide the satisfaction that nursing does for me.
I teach Semester 2 nursing students in the Adult Health I and II courses. It is so much fun to see their excitement when they get to do skills and to see how the classroom information translates into practice. I want to get the students excited to work in the Number 1 Most Trusted Profession!
