Advance your career
As a working professional, the Master of Science in Management (MSM) program prepares you to assume greater management responsibilities. If you are interested in going beyond the master’s level, our MSM prepares you for a doctoral program.
In addition to core management courses, our program includes coursework in managerial communication, strategic marketing, human resources, financial management, spreadsheet modeling, and management information systems. Our program has a variety of capstone options to suit your career needs.
MSM vs. MBA: What's the difference?
The Master of Science in Management is a degree where you will be exposed to all key aspects of business
management. A background in business is not required. The MSM may lead to advanced study.
MBA graduates tend to function as generalists, dealing with all aspects of conducting business, including
accounting, finance, marketing, and management. The MBA is considered a terminal degree and does not
necessarily lead to additional graduate studies.
Tuition and fees
When you enroll in the certificate program, you pay our affordable in-state tuition regardless of residency. Research assistantships and financial aid may also be available.
Career opportunities
The principles of management can be applied to virtually any industry - from finance to manufacturing to sales - making your MSM highly portable in our ever-changing global economy. Career opportunities include, but are not limited to:
