The Severson Entrepreneurship Academy has been enriching student lives since its creation after a milestone gift to the Minot State University College of Business in 2010 by Clint Severson and Conni Ahart. The renovation on fourth floor of Old Main will feature classroom space, office space, and a stat-of-the-art boardroom.
The Minot State Observatory was established in 1967 when a 10.5-foot Ash Dome housing a 16-inch Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope was erected on the roof of the Cyril Moore Science Center. As one of just two observatories in the state of North Dakota, this is a unique opportunity for our students. However, the mechanism needs to be modernized. Plans include new software and hardware to allow for precise movements and live stream events, along with upgrades to the 50-year-old building currently sitting just north of the MSU Amphitheater.

Located in Cyril Moore Science Center, the Hoffman Auditorium renovation calls for new seating, sound, lights, and technology upgrades to ensure our students have a state-of-the-art learning environment.
The nearly 60-year-old greenhouse has suffered from harsh North Dakota winters on the west side of the Cyril Moore Science Center. The 300-square-foot structure requires a total reconstruction consisting of double-layered panels, working irrigation system, and a climate-controlled interior.
Minot State's goal is to deliver a superior education. Highly advanced labs with the most recent and innovative learning tools play a vital role in making us competitive. Labs across the University in multiple disciplines will be updated, equipment and instruments replaced, and classroom space enhanced.
