The ability to meet today's needs, respond to unexpected circumstances, and fund brilliant ideas is the function of unrestricted gifts. This unique fund allows the University flexibility to adapt to changing times and to transform the entire campus.
Annual Unrestricted Giving
Alumni and friends who contribute unrestricted dollars through annual giving provide flexibility for new program development, spontaneity, and innovation in and out of the classroom.
Highest Priorities
Unrestricted gifts to the Vision Fun support the University’s highest priorities that bridge the gap between long-term goals and immediate, everyday needs, such as superior instruction, emerging technology, academic and financial support for students, and energetic student life.
Emergency Fund
Unrestricted funds help students in crisis as unplanned and unavoidable issues arise each semester.
Innovative Projects
With these dollars, MSU has the flexibility to realize the full potential of iconic venues like the MSU Summer Theatre Revitalization Project.
Vital Scholarships
Through unrestricted giving, Minot State ushered in a new scholarship rewarding students in our own backyard via the Hometown Pride Scholarship and the new Prairie Rose Scholarship unveiled in 2022.
