While Minot State continues to be a leader in affordability, the price of higher education is often a barrier for students to earn a degree. Through the establishment of endowed scholarships, students have access to funds that offset these rising costs. MSU has many opportunities for donors to create an endowed scholarship to support multiple programs, enriching students in and out of the classroom.
Rising costs of higher education creates challenges for many students. Increasing this scholarship fund will help offset expenses for those in greatest need.
The $1,000 Hometown Pride Scholarship provides a new, automatic scholarship opportunity to graduating seniors in Minot State's backyard, Northcentral and Northwest North Dakota.
Minot State recruits and retains students who transfer from two-year junior and community colleges as well as other four-year institutions. Transfer students make up a large portion of MSU’s overall enrollment, but aid is limited. This fund assists those students in completing their education.
Minot State has the largest per-capita enrollment of Native American students in the North Dakota University System. Additional funds ensure the University continues to support our Indigenous students.
Offsetting the cost of student-faculty collaborative research enables students to gain valuable experience to be competitive in their field of study.
Athletic aid allows Minot State to stay competitive in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and the American Collegiate Hockey Association, two highly-competitive conferences in the country.
Study abroad programs add a rich, diverse aspect to student life as they extend their classroom globally. Increased support will maximize opportunites for this unique experience.
Financial aid is often limited for graduate students continuing their education. This endowment rewards excellence in writing, research, and scholarship at a graduate level.
