Ways to Give

THE EMPOWER CAMPAIGN offers numerous opportunities to participate in creating a lasting legacy for our students, faculty, and alumni. As a donor, you may designate gifts to a particular campaign priority, or you can make an unrestricted contribution in support of the campaign.

RECURRING GIFTS
A recurring gift is an easy, automatic way to support MSU with a continuous source of funding. Recurring gifts enable you to make a more generous gift than thought possible by spreading your contribution over a longer period of time.

MATCHING GIFTS
Your gift to support MSU could be matched dollar for dollar by your employer. Your employer's personnel office can provide information on how to claim your company's matching gift benefit.

PLEDGE
A pledge is a gift that is paid over a period of time, allowing you to spread out your payments and tax benefits.

CHARITABLE IRA ROLLOVERS
Individuals age 70½ or older may give up to $100,000 directly from their individual retirement account without paying federal income tax on the withdrawal. Amounts given this way count toward satisfying the required minimum distribution for the year of the gift.
