Athletics

GOAL: $8 million

Intercollegiate athletics play a significant role in a vibrant and engaged campus and student life. Minot State is a member of the highly-competitive Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, a powerhouse member of the American Collegiate Hockey Assocation in both men's and women's hockey, and is proud to be the only North Dakota University System school to compete in NCAA Division II.

Minot State Dome

Minot State continues to upgrade and enhance the MSU Dome. While it remains a hub of athletics, entertainment, and education events, improvements are vital to keep it as a premier arena. Planned improvements include:

  • Building a new strength and conditioning area with weightroom, football locker room, meeting space, and field-level storage.
  • Expanding athletic and administrative offices and adding a food court, concessions, entertainment suites, a Beaver apparel shop, and an updated Athletics Hall of Fame.
  • Improving displays with an optimized center-hung scoreboard.
  • Renovating existing locker rooms.
