Registration for CLEP/DSST Testing at Minot AFB

Testing at the Minot Air Force Base is only available for those with a military ID.

CLEP Exams

Registering for a CLEP exam is a two-step process. After registering below for a time to take the CLEP exam, registration also needs to be completed through CLEP. Create an account at and register for the exam you would like to take. At the completion of the registration procedure, you will be given a ticket with a CLEP ID number. This ticket must be brought to the test center on the day of your exam or you will be unable to test. Please review these step by step instructions for assistance in completing the registration.

DSST Exams

Scheduling below is the only step needed for a DSST exam. Principles of Public Speaking is a two part exam. You will schedule part one (multiple choice) below. Part two (recording a speech) will be scheduled when you take part one. It is highly recommend you allow time to come back to complete part two after all testers have finished testing for the day.

No appointment times available?

The Air Force Education Center has asked that appointments not be available more than two weeks in advance, so at times the schedule will appear full. We get a number of last minute cancellations on Mondays and Tuesdays each week, so please check back then. Testing is only available one day each week on base (usually Tuesday or Wednesday).

When scheduling your test, please use a personal email address,
as your Air Force email may block your confirmation emails.

Unable to attend your previously scheduled testing appointment?

Please be courteous and cancel the appointment so someone else can fill your spot. Appointments need to be canceled 24 hours prior to your appointment time using the link in your confirmation email.

Beginning May 12, 2015, First Sergeants will be notified if you fail to show up for a scheduled test appointment or do not cancel 24 hours prior to your test appointment.
