Instructor: Linda Olson
Join the MSU clay community by signing up for this open studio option! Enjoy collaborative learning in a supportive, nurturing climate. Experience the pleasure of creating with your hands. Open studio community is for individuals who may have some experience in clay, but want to learn more. If you have never worked in clay, but would like to learn, you may still join the Open Studio. The Tuesday evening class time will be dedicated toward demonstrations that will improve your clay skills. Topics covered may include: making plaster drop molds and a plaster wedging block; slip casting original designs, clay mixing, glaze mixing, slip decorating techniques, advanced pottery throwing techniques, hand building techniques, sculptural methods, Raku firing, kiln firing, or others as demonstrated by student interest.
Children ages 12+ may register for Open Studio Weekly or Open Studio Monthly with a concurrently registered and attending parent/guardian only.
