I am a Minot native and received my undergraduate and master's degrees in speech-language pathology from Minot State. I am excited to be back at the University after 8 years of clinical experience in the field. I began my career in the public schools, where I worked four years at the elementary level. The past four years have been spent in pediatric private practice. During my time in private practice, I strengthened a passion for working with children with complex communication needs. I have special interests in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and pediatric feeding and swallowing, and have had several opportunities to grow my clinical skills in these areas with certifications in Project Core, PODD (Pragmatic Organization Dynamic Display), SOS Approach to Feeding, Guided Oral Movements with Active Patterning (GOMAP) for Infant and Toddler Feeding, and Beckman Oral Motor. I am eager to continue my career as faculty in the department and look forward to growing with the next generation of speech-language pathologists.
