Steven Moates, SLP.D., CCC-SLP joined the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department as an Adjunct Instructor in the Fall of 2022. He completed a Clinical Doctorate of Speech-Language Pathology at Nova Southeastern University. Steven has seven years of experience in higher education and 15 years of experience in a school setting. He currently serves as a Family Regional Chapter Coordinator and on the Special Projects Committee for the National Stuttering Association. His most recent research measured the perceived effectiveness of supervisory behaviors and supervisory attitudes towards the supervision of SLPAs in schools. Research interests also include stuttering, graduate program development, clinical supervision, clinical education, and rural clinical services.
