Dr. Joy held managerial roles for nine years in the corporate world, working in senior management before returning to academia. Dr. Joy has led the human resource department, organizational change initiatives, and performance management appraisal cycles. He is a certified compensation and benefits professional who led the organization's compensation and benefits function. Having a computer engineering background, he has led ERP implementation projects as an HR business partner (Oracle eBiz & Adrenalin).
Dr. Joy holds a Ph.D. in Management from Iowa State University, and his primary research focus is on middle managerial performance and high potential assessment. He holds an MBA in Human Resource Management and a BE in Computer Science Engineering. His professional affiliations include the Academy of Management, the Society of Human Resource Management, the Southern Management Association, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
