My educational preparation includes a BSN from Minot State University, MS (Nursing) from Texas Women’s University, Dallas, and a PhD from the University of North Dakota. I am a member of the American Nurses Association, the National League for Nursing, and the Omicron Tau Chapter of Sigma (Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society). One of my research interests includes the experience of transition by baccalaureate nursing graduates to professional nurse. I am relationship oriented, dedicated to teaching, and passionate about nursing.
I enjoy teaching and learning and have been in nursing education for many years. I have taught a variety of classes. Not only have I taught classes on campus and provided nursing clinical supervision, but I have “hit the road” taking nursing courses to regional sites, used independent learning modules, taught over IVN, and now teach online courses. No matter the delivery method, I always find it inspirational to interact with college students excited to learn and so full of life.
