3. Complete the application package review process
All complete application packages will be sent to the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders for review.
- Successful candidates will be notified via email for a spot in the program and have 45 days to claim this spot by replying to the email.
- Waitlisted candidates will be notified via email.
- Notifications of any openings will be sent via email and you will have 45 days to claim your spot by replying to the email.
- Unsuccessful candidates will be notified via email.
4. Submit your immunizations.
Provide proof of two doses of immunization for measles, mumps, and rubella after acceptance.
- Immunization records can be sent directly to the Student Health Center through the Student Health Portal after you have claimed your Campus Connection account.
5. File for FAFSA and Scholarships.
Apply for federal financial aid and scholarships. The FAFSA priority funding deadline is April 15.
Admissions Requirements
We require a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 or higher (4.0 scale).
If you do not meet these minimum guidelines, you will still be considered for admission if there is evidence in your academic record demonstrating a high probability of success.
Complete the following 13 high school core courses:
- 4 units of English
- 3 units of mathematics (at the level of Algebra 1 and above)
- 3 units of laboratory science
- 3 units of social science

Minot State is test-optional and does not require ACT/SAT test scores for admission. We rely on your high school grade point average (GPA) and core coursework to make admission decisions.
Although ACT/SAT test scores are not required for admission, you may elect to send your test scores if you feel they provide a more complete representation of your academic abilities.
Additionally, Math and English course placement is determined based on submitted ACT/SAT scores. Some scholarships and awards also use test scores to select recipients and determine award amounts.

- You must have a 3.0 GPA at the undergraduate level to apply for the post-baccalaureate program.
- Your transcripts may need to be evaluated by World Education Services (WES), Education Credential Evaluators (ECE), or American Education Research Corporation (AERC).
- The application will direct you to electronically submit three names who will complete your online recommendation forms. Choose individuals who can attest to your ability to complete this intensive one-year program and your potential success at the graduate level.
- Submit your I-20 form and supporting financial documents for an undergraduate degree as part of your application package.

Transferring Credits
Official transcripts must be sent from your school(s) in a sealed envelope to Enrollment Services. We also accept electronic transcripts through third party transcript services such as National Clearinghouse, E-transcripts, JST, and Parchment. Faxed or emailed transcripts cannot be accepted as official.

You do not need to request transcripts from other North Dakota University System (NDUS) institutions. Instead, we will be able to retrieve your academic transcript at no charge to you!
