Register for Classes

We are so excited to welcome you to Minot State University and can't wait for you to get started.

What to expect

This is your time. Work one-on-one with an academic advisor to discuss academic requirements, create your schedule and ask questions. While you are on campus, Minot State offices are available to discuss housing, financial aid, student support services, and anything else that comes to mind. Offices are open 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday.

Pick your date

As an accepted student, you will receive an email invitation with available registration dates. Simply click the link in the email and select the date that works best for you. Registration dates fill quickly so pick your time as soon as possible!

Registration options

Minot State was made for you. Visit campus and meet with an advisor to register for classes. Upcoming in-person registration dates:

  • Wednesday, April 8
  • Thursday, April 23
  • Friday, June 5
  • Wednesday, July 15
  • Thursday, August 20

Available April 13 thru August 14

Step 1: Sign up for Virtual Student Registration (VSR)

Step 2: Receive notice that your advisor has been assigned

Step 3: Schedule a meeting with your advisor at AskMSU.com/starfish

Step 4: Attend your advising meeting (virtual meetings are held on Microsoft Teams)

Step 5: Enroll in your classes through Campus Connection

Your degree, your way. At Minot State, earn your online degree with flexible class options. Your email invitation will include links to complete your online orientation in Blackboard, our online learning platform. From there, you will virtually meet with an advisor to register for classes.

Available April 14 thru September 2

Available until October 22 for second 8 week session only

Step 2: Complete all orientation modules in Blackboard

Step 3: Receive notice that your advisor has been assigned

Step 4: Schedule a meeting with your advisor at AskMSU.com/starfish

Step 5: Attend your advising meeting (virtual meetings are held on Microsoft Teams)

Step 6: Enroll in your classes through Campus Connection
