Transfer Students Planning Checklist

1. Please take a few minutes to create your interactive VIP page. Not only will you receive customized information on up to three academic areas of your choosing, but you'll be able to track your application status.

Finally, your VIP page will allow you to register for CONNECT, our new student orientation.

2. Submit the following to the Enrollment Services Office:
Minot State University revised its transfer admission requirements for those students entering Minot State University in the fall of 2017. View the complete admission requirements.

  • Completed application for admission.
  • $35 non-refundable application fee.
  • Official in-progress transcript, if currently attending another college/university.
  • Final official transcripts from all other post-secondary schools previously attended. Transcripts must be mailed directly from your school(s) to the Enrollment Services Office.
    • You do not need to request your final official transcript from any North Dakota University System. If you have holds that prevent us from retrieving your transcript we will contact you. 
  • Official ACT or SAT scores if transferring fewer than 24 semester credits AND if you will be less than 25 years of age on the first day of class.
  • Official high school transcripts, mailed to the Enrollment Services Office directly from your high school, if transferring fewer than 24 semester credits.

3. Apply for Financial Aid. (For fall applicants: apply by April 15.)

4. Apply for Scholarships and Awards.

5. Apply for On-Campus Housing.

6. Proof of two doses of immunization for measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR).

  • Tuberculosis screening if required

7. Register for classes.

8. Enjoy life as a Minot State student!!!
