2019 Awards Ceremony
The 2019 English and Foreign Language Scholarship and Award Recipients Reception took place on Thursday, May 2 in the Third Floor Atrium of Swain Hall. Students, faculty, and staff kicked off the event with an ice cream social.
A ceremony followed to honor the English and Foreign Language student scholarship and awards recipients for their past and present accomplishments, as well as recognizing—and celebrating—the promise of their future success.
Scholarships awarded were the Harvey and Arlone Twyman English Scholarship and the Helen Hoar French Scholarship.
Awards included Outstanding Senior (English and Foreign Language), Distinguished Student Achievement Award (English and Foreign Language), and English Faculty Book Awards in Literature, Education, and Writing. New Members of Sigma Tau Delta, the National English Honors Society, were also acknowledged.
