Dr. Walker serves as the Clinic Director for the Minot State University Communication Disorders Clinic. She joined Minot State in 2017 after 18 years of clinical practice in acute care. In a university hospital setting, she provided speech-language pathology services with a primary focus on adult populations, supervised graduate student interns, and oversaw service delivery for both adult and pediatric patients in acute care and outpatient settings. In her current role, Dr. Walker directs clinic operations, teaches in the Communication Disorders program, and supervises graduate students in clinical practicum. Her areas of clinical and scholarly interest include dysphagia, acquired communication disorders, and neurogenic language disorders, competency based education, and simulation.
