Ann Beste-Guldborg, PhD, MA CCC/SLP is an Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Communication Disorders at Minot State University. She grew up in Minnesota and spent most of her career in Montana working as a speech language pathologist and school administrator. She comes from a long line of educators and has a passion for teaching and learning as well as for developing student research skills. Dr. Guldborg’s research interests lie in changing attitudes toward disability and in the scholarship of teaching and learning as it relates to the field of communication disorders. She has published articles in several journals including the Journal of Fluency Disorders and the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research and has written several book chapters. Dr. Guldborg presents research and educational sessions at national and international conferences on a regular basis.

On a personal level, Dr. Guldborg loves teaching at Minot State University. She is active across campus and is always looking for ways to enhance the student experience. On weekends and evenings, if  not correcting student work, you can find her at the football, volleyball, or hockey game, at the theatre or concert, working-out, or taking advantage of the excellent opportunities for outdoor sports and recreation in the Minot area.
