Multicultural Wellness

Understanding and appreciating cultures other than your own can help you to understand yourself better. Creating a strong and healthy community that embraces individual differences and finding common ground are important factors in a healthy community. Being educated about and appreciative of cultures other than your own are invaluable skills in today’s global society.

Signs of Multicultural Wellness

  • Exploring your own cultural heritage
  • Reflecting on who you are and who you are to become
  • Treating individuals and groups fairly without prejudice, ignorance, fear and stereotypes
  • Taking an interest/getting involved in multicultural activities
