Minot State to hold another ‘Rise and Grind’ event for Summer, Fall 2025 enrollment

MINOT, N.D. – Minot State University and the MSU Retain and Graduate Committee will hold a “Rise and Grind” event to help students enroll for Summer and Fall 2025 semesters.

The “Rise and Grind” event takes place from March 25 to March 28 and is designed for degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate students who are enrolled in Summer or Fall, have completed their graduation application, or have scheduled an appointment with their advisor to enroll.

“Rise and Grind” will feature a complimentary grande drink from Sodexo Starbucks for students on March 25-28 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Student Center’s Beaver Dam. Minot State's Academic Support Center, MSU Registrar, faculty, and orientation leaders will all be present at Sodexo Starbucks to assist with clearing holds, scheduling appointments with advisors, and selecting classes in Campus Connection.

“Our goal is to make registration as stress-free as possible,” said Jim Sturm, Looyenga Leadership Center director and chair of MSU’s Retain and Graduate Committee. We know it can be confusing and overwhelming for some, and we wanted to create a one-stop shop to streamline the process as much as possible. This is a great opportunity for students to have their questions answered and to help finalize their plans for the next semester — and to enjoy a free cup of coffee!”

Minot State and SCHEELS have partnered again this year to give away gift cards throughout the week. During the week, MSU will randomly select five Minot State students to receive a $100 gift card.

While Minot State’s promotion runs until March 28, students can register for classes until the start of the Summer 2025 or Fall 2025 semesters, subject to class availability.

Summer classes are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 27, and Fall 2025 is set for Monday, Aug. 25, after 4 p.m.
