Minot State Theatre Arts presents ‘After Ever Happily’

MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State Theatre Arts Program is proud to present “After Ever Happily” by Erik Meixelsperger as its next performance slated for Friday-Sunday, Feb. 14-16.

The play will have three shows in the newly renovated Aleshire Theater, located in Hartnett Hall. Friday, Feb. 14, and Saturday, Feb. 15, is set for 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 16, is at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 each with Minot State students, faculty, and staff free with an MSU ID.

“‘After Ever Happily’ is, at its core, all about what it means to love someone,” said Sarah Honerman, MSU assistant professor and director of theatre. “It is the perfect balance of romantic comedy and acknowledging that love looks differently from couple to couple. If you love the stereotypical romantic comedies like ‘Pretty in Pink,’ ‘Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead,’ and ‘Boy Meets World,’ you're sure to enjoy this new love story by Drake University Theatre Professor Erik Meixelsperger."

Minot State officially opened Hartnett Hall, after a $27 million renovation, in the Fall 2024 semester. This marks the first play performed in historic Aleshire Theater.

“The theatre students and I are excited to perform at the newly renovated Aleshire Theater,” Honerman said. “For the last year and a half, we have been finding spaces across campus to put on our productions. Being able to use our space with new LED lights, a new sound system, and a newly renovated stage — is truly a dream come true.”

The cast and crew of “After Ever Happily” are both MSU students, faculty, staff, and from the community. Minot State students are designated with an asterisk.
