Minot State to host eclipse viewing party

MINOT, N.D. – Minot State's Division of Science will host a partial solar eclipse viewing party, weather pending, in front of Swain Hall starting around 1 p.m. on Monday, April 8.

Solar glasses and pinhole models will be available to view the phenomenon. The viewing party will last until 3 p.m., when the eclipse will officially end.

The next total solar eclipse party will be on Aug. 23, 2044, and yes, North Dakota will see a total eclipse instead of a partial that year.
