MINOT, N.D. – Minot State University will again celebrate its liberal arts heritage with its Two-Minute Lecture Series for the 2018-19 academic year. The Two-Minute Lecture takes place at the Beaver Creek Café starting at 12:30 p.m. on select dates during the year.

“The liberal arts have served as the foundation of colleges and universities since their inception in the 13th century,” said Robert Kibler, MSU foreign languages, humanities, and literature chair. “At Minot State University, the Two-Minute Lecture Series celebrates our liberal arts heritage here, across the state, and beyond. Faculty lecturers speak on subjects in which they have professional interest and experience, in a fast and furious whirl, designed to enlighten, entice, and celebrate the wondrous intellectual world we inhabit here at Minot State University.”

The series for the fall semester will be on the first and last Wednesday of each month, with an exception for the Oct. 11 (Thursday) date.
