Program Disclosures and Licensure Requirements

Federal regulations now require Minot State University to post information for students and the public regarding our licensure programs. All Minot State licensure programs lead to licensure in the state of North Dakota. We are currently researching the educational requirements for licensure in the other 49 states, as well as U.S. territories and the District of Columbia.

If you are seeking a professional license in a state other than North Dakota, we encourage you to do a couple of things. First, consult your advisor to determine the best course of action for you to become licensable in other states and territories. We have found that in most instances licensing requirements do not vary greatly from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, so it might be that just a few additional or different courses could prepare you for licensure in other places. Be sure to visit with your advisor to find the most efficient path forward for you! We want to help you reach your career goals!

Secondly, consult the webpages of licensing bodies in the states, territories, and the District of Columbia. Those licensing bodies will have the most up-to-date and accurate information about licensure requirements in their states. As we continue to research licensure requirements, we will provide information for each licensure degree or program listed below. When available, we will provide web addresses for the licensing bodies of the state or territory. Licensing requirements can change, so it’s always good to check and double check with those organizations about what you’re going to need to get licensed.
