Last updated 7/10/20 2:35pm

  • Library’s Hours:
    The library has re-opened! The library's summer hours are M-F, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

  • Something New! To log into the library's databases from off-campus, you now use your regular NDUS credentials (the same credentials you use to get into Campus Connect, BlackBoard, e-mail, etc.)!

  • Interlibrary Loan:
-We have resumed full interlibrary loan services
. Items (non-electronic) can be picked up via curb side pick-up. Please e-mail Jolene Nechiporenko for details.

  • Holy Cannoli! Check out our newest, three months' worth of New Books! There are some terrific books on these lists. If you see one (or two or three....) that you would like to check out, drop us a line at and we'll arrange for you to come pick it (them) up.

  • We have a new service we’re calling Curbside Checkout/Pick-Up:
-If you wish to check out a book that is in our library’s collection and you don't want to come into the library, send an email to Jane la Plante: Please include your student ID number and the title(s) of the item(s) you wish to check out. Jane will contact you by email and set up a time for you to pick up the item(s) in the library’s entryway.

  • Free Electronic Books and Articles

  • Accessing Library Services Remotely:
-We invite students, faculty, and staff to use our services and resources remotely. This web page contains a quick reminder about how to do this.

    Overdue Items

    Overdue Items:
-Please DO send your loaned items back to us.

-Student library loans were due back at the end of the Spring semester unless other arrangements were made. Please note that patrons will be billed for items that weren't returned to the library by June 14th, 2020.  If you can, you may return them through the U.S. mail or you can put them in the library's drop box that is located in the library's entryway.

-To mail your books back to us from within the US, take them to a post office and ask for the "Media Mail" rate (it's cheaper than regular postal rates). Make sure there is nothing but books in the box. Click this link for information (scroll about halfway down the page). Our address is Gordon B. Olson Library, 500 University Ave West, Minot State University, Minot, ND 58707
-To mail your books back to us from outside the US, take them to your local post office and ask if there is a "book rate" you can get.

-If you would like further assistance, please contact me. I am happy to help you.

  • The library is trying out a new service called the Textbook Reserve Program . We were able to purchase a limited number of textbooks that are being used in classes this semester. See if the library has your textbook on Reserve! If it is on the list, come to the library -- you can check out the textbook for 2 hours and use it in the library.
