Office Hours
The Office of International Programs is located on the 2nd floor of the Student Union Building, in the farthest east corner.

Office hours are 8:00 - 4:30, Monday through Friday.
Appointments can be made on Wednesdays, 8:00 - 12:15.
Walk-ins are welcome:
Mondays, all day
Tuesdays, 8:00 - 12:15
Wednesdays, 1:00 - 4:30
Thursdays, 1:00 - 4:30
Fridays, all day
Please note that no appointments or walk-ins can be accommodated during the following times:

Meet the Staff

Libby Claerbout, Director
Libby is responsible for the development of systems and processes to support Minot State University’s International Programs including support services, policies and procedures for: international students, study abroad, faculty-led study tours, and faculty and scholar exchanges. She also works to foster campus involvement in international programs and create on-campus culture of global awareness.

Ronnie Walker, International Student Coordinator
Ronnie manages immigration-related matters relative to international students and exchange visitors, and is responsible for ensuring institutional compliance with federal immigration law. She also acts as the advisor for international and Canadian students and exchange visitors on various issues impacting them, and in educating university faculty and staff on federal visa and immigration policies.

Tyson Snelling, Canadian Student Assistant
Tyson, a native from Brandon, Manitoba Canada, is entering into his junior year here at Minot State University. He is pursuing a degree in International Business and Business Administration as well as continuing his passion for football field. Through Tyson’s first two years he has become familiar with the procedures Canadians go through in the course of time here at MSU. He is ready for your questions and can’t wait to help you!!!

Virginie Vournas, Student Assistant
Born and raised in France, Virginie spent 4 years in England before moving to Minot to study French education. Virginie assists the office mainly by helping international students with immigration and support issues. She is also an active member of the International Club.

Allayna Kalmik, Student Assistant
Allayna Kalmik, a Williston Native, came to MSU to Major in Elementary & Deaf Education. With her passion for adventure, traveling has led her to 14 countries all around the world. She is working on creating a new study abroad website and handbook to help captivate current and future students into a "cross cultural" experience. Allayna is happy to share her adventures and answer any questions about the opportunities of studying abroad.

Katie Haarsager, Student Assistant
Having hosted many Norwegian relatives at her family farm in Mohall, North Dakota, Katie enjoys communicating and keeping in touch with all her international relations. Katie is a Freshman at MSU majoring in Communication Arts and hopes to study abroad in the future. She is in the process of setting up a study abroad library for the office and helps with other study abroad promotional efforts.
