
International Arrival Orientation
Minot State University is excited for your arrival in the fall semester and to prepare you for your time as a student in the U.S., we will be conducting the mandatory International Arrival Orientation on:
- Monday, August 24th, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Student Center Building, Conference Center, 3rd Floor
This orientation will help new International Students get acquainted with the new culture and provide necessary information about different topics that you will be faced upon during your studies at Minot State University.
This orientation is mandatory for all Minot State International and Canadian Students so an absent towards this orientation could result in a delay in your registration on SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System).
The topics that will be covered during our half day will be:
- Overview of Federal Immigration Regulations
- Employment Issues for International Students
- Tax Information
- Cell Phones, Health & Auto Insurance, Banking and other cultural issues you will face
