Exams Offered at the Academic Testing Center
| National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
ASE offers certification for automotive professionals. Registration is done through the ASE web site. You will need to bring your ASE eligibility number on the day of your test. Information is available on what to expect on the day of the test. Practice tests are available for purchase on ASE’s website. |

| College-Level Examination Board (CLEP)
CLEP is the most widely accepted credit-by-examination program in the country. There are 33 different computer-based examinations in five subject areas. Passing an exam can allow you to earn up to 12 credits. The amount of credit you can earn varies with each college. |

| Accuplacer
The ACCUPLACER is an untimed, computerized test that allows universities to evaluate your skills in certain areas, and place you into appropriate courses. For Minot State University, the ACCUPLACER offers tests in English and math. Test results and placement information are available immediately upon completion of the test. |

DSST
DSST is a credit-by-examination program offering 39 different exams. MSU is able to except a limited number of exams for credit. See Minot State University DSST Policy for more information about the equivalent course and credit obtained for each DSST exam. |

| Iso-Quality Testing, Inc.
Iso-Quality Testing provides computer based testing for certification and professional licensure exams. Minot State is an Iso-Quality test center with the ability to proctor exams for over 70 different companies and organizations. Pearson Vue provides licensure, certification, and education testing across all major industries. Minot State is a Pearson Vue test center with the ability to proctor exams for over 450 different companies and organizations. Praxis
The Praxis Series exams are taken by individuals entering the teaching profession as part of the certification process required by many states and professional licensing organizations. Praxis Series Exams are offered on Tuesday morning and Wednesday afternoon. Registration must be completed through Praxis. There is also test preparation materials available through the Praxis Web site. |

Minot State serves as a test center for PSI. PSI offers a variety of services for Real Estate, Construction, Barber, Cosmetology, and other professional license and certifications. TOEFL
The TOEFL test measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. It also evaluates how well you combine your listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills to perform academic tests. The TOEFL is offered one Friday a month at MSU. Registration is done through the TOEFL Web site. TOEFL also has test preparation materials. |
