KMSU Auction
The KMSU Auction is a dynamic, annual fall fundraising event that captivates the Minot area with a live, televised and livestreamed broadcast throughout the evening. Students in COMM 254 & 454 (Special Events Planning) take the lead, spending the semester immersing themselves in the planning, execution, and evaluation of this high-energy event.
During the auction, students operate both on and off camera, working together to showcase a wide array of exciting packages—generously donated by local businesses—for eager bidders competing for the highest bid. Proceeds from the event directly support students in the department, allowing us to invest in cutting-edge equipment for class projects.
Additionally, each year, a portion of the funds raised is donated to a student-chosen local non-profit organization, strengthening the connection between the university and the community.
