The Professional Communication major at Minot Sate University offers three different areas of specialization:
- Strategic Communication
- Media Production
- Sports Media
The program blends hands-on learning with lectures to prepare students for a variety of careers. Students gain hands-on experience in professional communication through KMSU: Minot State University's student-run media.
You'll have the opportunity to produce our weekly campus news TV show MSU Inside Out, call play-by-play for MSU Athletics games, manage KMSU social media channels, and create original podcast and video content for these platforms. Students also write for the Red & Green campus newspaper and collaborate with local businesses on real-world projects.
These are just some of the activities embedded in our program that help students gain practical experiences for internships and future careers.
