MSU Development Foundation offering planned giving workshop
MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State Development Foundation is sponsoring a planned giving workshop on May 8 from 3-4:30 p.m. in the Student Center Conference Center.
The workshop will help individuals gain practical insights, real-life examples, and guidance on using planned giving to support causes they care about while achieving personal and financial goals. Jacob Thrailkill, a Minot State adjunct professor and wealth management advisor with Northwest Mutual, will speak on various giving options.
“This is a culmination of much of what we do throughout the year for planned giving. We’ve sent flyers and newsletters, and this is a chance for individuals to hear it from a live person, rather than to just read about it on their own,” said Pat Slotsve, MSU development officer. “It is a great opportunity to ask questions, hear about some of the various options, and interact with a professional. Jacob has great ties to the University and is trained to give advice and options. We expect this workshop to be very informative for people interested in planned giving.”
The event is free and open to anyone interested, with no preregistration required. The MSU Development Foundation will provide cookies and refreshments, and there will be door prizes. For more information, see the attached informational flyer or contact Slotsve by email.
