Alumni Association plans events in Florida, Arizona

MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State University Alumni Association is coming to a warm weather event near you.

The MSU Alumni Association along with President Steven Shirley will host Florida Alumni & Friends Socials Feb. 15-16 and Arizona Alumni & Friends events March 2-4.

“These two Alumni & Friends Socials have become a fantastic spring tradition for the Alumni Association, and I look forward to seeing familiar faces along with new alumni at both events,” said Janna McKechnie, director of alumni and engagement. “We are excited to share all the great things that are happening at Minot State.”

The Florida Alumni & Friends socials are scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 15 in The Villages  and Thursday, Feb. 16 in Cape Coral. The event in The Villages is at City Fire (1018 Canal Street) and is scheduled for 5-7 p.m., while the Cape Coral event will take place at Duffy’s Sports Grill (627 Cape Coral Parkway West) and runs from 6-8 p.m.

Both events feature heavy appetizers and a cash bar.

The Arizona trip will feature four events over three days, including socials on Thursday, March 2; Friday, March 3; and Saturday, March 4.

The first Alumni & Friends Social is scheduled for State 48 Brewery (13823 West Bell Road) in Surprise on March 2 and Friday will be at Macayo’s Mexican Food (650 North Scottsdale Road) in Tempe. Both socials are scheduled for 6-8 p.m. and will include heavy appetizers and a cash bar.

Saturday, March 4 starts with a Alumni & Friends Golf Scramble at Ocotillo (3751 South Clubhouse Road) in Chandler starting at 1 p.m. The scramble includes 18 holes of golf, cart, bucket and range balls, and tournament prizes. Cost of the scramble is $125 per person. Following golf, at approximately 6 p.m., Arizona’s finale will feature an Alumni & Friends Social and Dinner at Ocotillo Club House Restaurant. Cost for the social and dinner is $25 per person. Register for both events at MinotStateU.edu/alumni.
