MACIV hosts delegation from Indonesia

MINOT, N.D. – The Minot Area Council for International Visitors (MACIV) is hosting a delegation from Indonesia as part of an event called “Good Governance for Newly Elected Officials.”

The officials are invited to the United States under the auspices of the Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program. Their national program is arranged by CRDF Global with their local program arranged by MACIV.

The officials will be in Minot and Northwest North Dakota from Feb. 17-22. The Minot area segment of their program will focus on issues of Native American sovereignty and governance. The visitors will meet with the chairs and other officials of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation and the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa in New Town and Belcourt respectively.
