Alumni Association to return to Arizona in 2020

MINOT, N.D. – Minot State University, along with the Minot State Alumni Association, will again make its annual spring trip to Arizona, with five events planned over three days during its Arizona Reunion 2020.

All events are open to all Minot State alumni and friends of MSU. Please RSVP and watch for updates at MinotStateU.edu/alumni, or call the alumni office at 701-858-3373.

“The Arizona Reunion has become one of our favorite traditions at the Minot State Alumni Association and I look forward to seeing both familiar faces and new faces during this year’s event,” said Janna McKechnie, Minot State director of alumni and annual giving. “We have great events planned over the three days and I hope to connect with all of our proud Minot State alums in the greater Phoenix area.”

The first two events on the Arizona Reunion 2020 schedule are alumni and friends socials in Scottsdale, Arizona and Surprise, Arizona beginning at 6 p.m. each night (all times listed are Mountain Standard Time). The Scottsdale event will take place Thursday, March 4 at Boondocks Patio and Grill, while the Surprise event is scheduled for Friday, March 6 at Bonfire Kitchen and Taphouse. Both socials are free and will feature heavy appetizers and a cash bar.

Saturday, March 7, will have three events at Ocotillo Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona.

Minot State will host a golf scramble at Ocotillo starting at 1 p.m. The scramble features 18 holes of golf, cart, bucket of range balls, dinner, and tournament prizes for $125 per person. Individual and team entries welcome.

Workshop of Scottsdale will bring their tray painting class to MSU alumni and friends with a class at 3 p.m. Each participant will choose their stencil, color, shape, and size of tray or stand to take home. All individuals interested in this event must pre-register as space and supplies are limited. Cost for the workshop is $60 or $85 to include dinner, social, and workshop.

The annual alumni & friends dinner and social will follow both of these events and will begin at approximately 6 p.m. Cost of the dinner and social is $25 per person.

Alumni interested in either golf or the workshop need to register for the events at minotstateu.edu/alumni.
