Local Transportation
You can schedule individual rides to any destination within city limits through Souris Basin Transportation during the following times:
- Monday through Friday: 7:30 am to 10:00 pm
- Saturday: 8 am to 5 pm
- Sunday: 8 am to 3 pm
Weekday rides must be scheduled before 10:00 am the business day before the ride is needed by calling (701) 839-7433. Rides on Saturday, Sunday and Monday must be scheduled before 10:00 am the Thursday before before.
The cost for each individual ride is $3, or international students in F-1 status can also use the free orange tokens given to you by the Office of International Programs.
After business hours and on weekends, a bus dispatcher uses phone (701) 833-1881.

Ride share services like Lyft and Uber operate in Minot.
*Please note that international students in F-1 status are NOT allowed to work off-campus, including working for Lyft or Uber.
Minot's Taxi Service, Taxi 9000 closed its business on August 15, 2022.
Bus Fare for College Students is $1.50, payable in cash on board the bus at a scheduled stop. You can also buy a package of 10 tokens or monthly passes at a student rate from Minot Public Works, 1025 31st Street Southeast. Bus routes are limited, service runs from 7 a.m. - 7 pm, Monday-Friday. If you have any questions you may contact the Minot Public Works Office.

Scheduled passenger service to the Minot airport (MOT) is currently provided by Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Allegiant Air. There are six daily flights to and from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) on Delta, and three daily flights to and from Denver International Airport (DEN) on United. Allegiant Air provides multiple flights throughout the week to Las Vegas (LAS) and Phoenix-Mesa (IWA).

The Minot Amtrak station is served by one east bound and one west bound train each day.

Souris Basin Transportation offers a round-trip route from Minot to Bismarck a limited number of days each week.
Schedule:
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (will pick you up at your home!)
Depart Minot at 7:00 am
Return to Minot at 6:00 pm
