An associate degree in Human Services with a focus on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) prepares you to become a direct support professional, providing essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily lives and communities. Advancing to a bachelor’s degree can qualify you as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP), also known as a program coordinator or case manager, meeting federal requirements for many service roles.
